The Desert Sky Difference

Our therapists have had formal education at top institutions in their field and couple that premiere training with years of experience. Their mission is to improve and better Texans' health through collaborative, systemic, and research informed through counseling services as well as professional speaking presentations and consultations.

Collaborative

We see treatment as a team effort. We collaborate with you in a joint effort to achieve the relief, happiness, and well-being you are seeking. Our counselors are not the type to simply tell you what to do, but rather will work with you to develop a plan together.

Systemic

Our lives, difficulties, and struggles do not occur in a vacuum. Thus, we strive to consider and incorporate contextual factors into treatment such as culture, relationships, faith, and other health factors to help provide quality care and find the best, lasting solutions.

Research Informed

Not only are all of our helping professionals trained at some of the most highly respected institutions in their field, they are committed to staying on the cutting edge of research and knowledge related to best care, interventions, and treatment practices. They do this by regularly attending national and state training conferences led by leaders in the mental and behavioral health fields.

In the News

Watch our interview on Lubbock Economic Development Alliance's podcast, Hub City Spokes where we discuss opening up our clinic in the middle of a pandemic, the importance of mental health, and how much we love West Texas.

Our Community

Desert Sky is committed to bettering our community both in and out of the therapy room. We give back a portion of all profits to Women's Protective Services of Lubbock, a local non-profit organization providing safety, support, and resources for women and families needing safety and support. See more about the good they do.
